Mar Hotel Conventions

We had a fantastic stay at Mar Hotel Conventions! The staff were accommodating and friendly, the breakfast was delicious, the pool area was beautiful, and it was conveniently located for visiting nearby attractions and for commuting to the airport. They also had their own live music for Carnaval! Muito obrigado.

Hotel was nice and clean, the washroom could've used a deeper scrub as there was some mold in the grout and caulk. But otherwise it was nice, the breakfast buffet was great, lots of variety and tasted good. Stayed in both the newer and older tower and in both the rooms where great. The rooms where super cheap, a suite for 5 days cost the same as a weekend back home. Location was amazing, a short walk to the beach with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Also being not even 10 minutes by car to the Airport was also great especially since my flight left a 4am so it allowed me to get as much sleep as possible since it's right nearby. The pool was also amazing however the swim up bar and part of the waterfall being closed sucked however it was Winter in Recife when I went so that might be why

Rooms are very small and old . The Hotel is more appropriate for business meetings and things of that nature . The service is ok , but Paulo from concierge stood up he was above and beyond trying to make us feeling more comfortable into our requests he definitely needs a hand of applause . The hotel is located in a good area , however to access the hotel is very busy on the ramp .. So it can become a little chaotic to get in . .. The employees some are cordial some are not .. The floor needs an upgrade as an emergency. Brighter Lights on the entrance of the hall would be away better than it is now is .. Overall I was accommodated to another hotel that we loved . They were very polite and understood when we mentioned that we wanted to leave the place ..
