Mare Hotel

The place is really beautiful – especially the outdoor areas by the pool and the beach. There’s even a well-designed changing and shower area near the beach, which was a great convenience and added to our overall comfort during the stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and felt very happy with the experience. That said, the rooms were a bit dated. Ours faced the street, which made it quite loud and noisy at times. I assume there were no seaside rooms available during our stay, otherwise we would have preferred one. One small point of confusion: in the family rooms, there are two queen-size beds. While that may work for small children, it becomes less practical as they grow older. Separate beds for the kids would make more sense for a family setup. Despite these details, the atmosphere is definitely five-star, and the overall experience reflects that. The rooms could use a bit of an update, but we were still very pleased with our stay. There are parking places for free and possibilities to charge electric cars.

The hotel is located right on the beach, but not very close to Savona or any other town by walk. We visited in march so it was not the swimming season but still the beachfront is very pleasant for a walk. They offer free parking spots(limited) and garage(not free) . The breakfast was very good with variety of healthy options . Rooms seem somehow old but they were clean and have amazing views . Some of the room services could be better: there were no slippers in the room considering the floor was cold and not covered by anything . They offer tea and coffee in the room but not free of charge . Overall we had a great stay.

Very noisy - rooms towards the road are not recommended. Unpleasant neighborhood - very pricey for this quality and season - app 180€ for a family room - which does not invite to stay longer than one night. For one „emergency“ stop ok - breakfast and service is good.
