Margaida Boutique Hotel & SPA

Both the rooms and common areas are extremely clean and always smell great. The room is simple but very well designed to fit luggage and still offer enough space to move around. Breakfast is excellent. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel to stay in the city — modern, with outstanding service!

In the middle of the action. Close to several restaurants and places to see. Has a beach near by and port is within walking distance(10 min). Rooms are a good size. Breakfast had variety and pool area was clean and quiet. Parking can be tough but circle around and you’ll find one.

The hotel has a very modern room design and the bar staying open until 11pm - even in the off-season - was a nice bonus (shout out to the great bartender!). It's also conveniently close to local shops and restaurants. However, I found the hotel fell short of the “boutique” label. Basic amenities were missing - no body lotion, no hair conditioner, no tea or coffee in the rooms, and no water provided after the first night. There also wasn’t much of a personal touch, and some things like dirty glasses weren’t replaced after housekeeping. One of the main disappointments was the spa. The photos and listing heavily highlight it, but there's no complimentary access to facilities like the sauna or spa pool, which wasn’t made clear upfront. There was also no price list available, and even when we tried to access the spa, whenever someone is having a treatment, the whole spa is locked. Parking is also quite limited. We managed to find a spot on a nearby street, but that may have only been possible because we stayed during the off-season. All in all, we were expecting more and don't really think the price reflects what we got.
