We checked in to a very nice 8 bedroom villa and then it was all down hill from there. The customer service around the entire resort is substandard to say the least. 4 times we called in for the Hot tub not working, all 4 times they said it was working but the water doesn't warm up unless the sun is down!?!?! Yet it didn't work at night either. Each time we went somewhere to get food or drinks, the staff treated you like trash. They knew they had 18% gratuity on every bill so their service efforts were horrible. Think about this, 18% of $4,200 is $756 gratuity pain before we got here, plus every purchase has an additional 18% on it. We went to the Christmas in July event and every single table (9) wanted you to register with an email address over and over. The kids things to do that we purchased were lack luster as well. The kids made slime that was so had we could patch the sidewalk with it. The rental company told us the villa next door was a rental so we could share/use their grill... guess what. It was a private homeowner that doesn't participate in the rental program. We cooked on another family's personal grill, they were very nice and understanding, but they said they dont rent anymore because customers are treated so bad, owners are treated bead, and those who claim a problem are forced to fight their lawyers to get claims fixed. I mean we did have a good time in the area, but we won't be back here again. We vacation in rentals 4-6 times a year so we understand there can be issues, but not disrespectful service and constant ignorance of the staff. NOT WHAT JIMMY WOULD OF WANTED!

We booked an 8 day stay at Margaritaville in a 5 bedroom elite cottage. Upon checkin we noticed headaches within 5 minutes. Could not figure out what was going on. Started looking around, noticing poor cleaning standards, but nothing too terrible. My daughter had to use the restroom so I went into the bathroom with her and immediately knew something was off. I started looking around and found mold. Tons of mold. All 5 bathrooms were loaded. By then my face had blisters appearing. We tried to call the front desk but got a voicemail so we decided to drive back over. They had nothing else for us to move to. We had a party of 10 ready to celebrate a 16th birthday and had nowhere to go. They did offer to clean the mold but having 2 people allergic to not only mold but fragrances this just was not an option. At the price point it is to stay here this was just extremely disappointing! There was a carbon filter in the intake vent so that led us to believe they knew there was a problem. While the manager tried her best to be understanding it just fell short leaving us nowhere to go.

We were so excited for our stay at Margaritaville, but that quickly turned into disappointment. Our family rented a three-bedroom home with a pool through Rentyl, and the customer service was terrible. Our first issue was with the pool—it had visible black and green algae growing in it and was clearly dirty. Our children began feeling itchy shortly after getting in, which is when we realized what the problem was. We had also paid extra for a grill that turned out to be absolutely disgusting. The showers had black mold growing in them, laundry provided did too, outdoor furniture was dirty, and then the air conditioning broke. The temperature in the home rose to 80 degrees, and we had multiple small children with us. We called the front desk, and they said they would send someone to check it out. We let them know we would be out for a while and that they could come in during that time. We also expressed our frustration about the other issues. When we returned, the house was still hot and nothing had been fixed. We were checking out the next morning and tried to get some sleep, knowing we’d be leaving soon. When my husband went to check out, the woman at the front desk said there was no note about the AC being broken, so they weren’t even aware of the issue—though she did apologize. She also told us a manager would contact us, and even remarked, “This is why no one comes back”. No one ever called. I assume they thought we would just forget about it, but that only made us angrier about the money we wasted. You can visibly tell which properties are managed by Rentyl—those pools are dirty and the exteriors aren’t power-washed or maintained. One of the main attractions of this resort is the ability to rent a home with a private pool, but if they can’t keep up with basic property maintenance, it reflects poorly on the entire resort. There’s a similar resort in the area with far better reviews that we plan to try next time. We do not intend to return to Margaritaville.
