Margies on Mt Franklin 8 minutes from Daylesford

I recently stayed at the Daylesford Motor Inn with my son and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is convenient, but one thing to note is that Daylesford is very poorly lit at night—especially in the rain—and I had trouble spotting the motel driveway in the dark. Some solar lights or clearer signage would really help. The room itself was clean and well-prepared, with the heater already on for us, which was a thoughtful touch. It was a twin room, which suited our needs perfectly. The furnishings were a little dated, but everything was tidy and functional. The bathroom was spacious, but could do with a bit of a refresh—the greeny-grey tiles made it feel a bit dark, and the shower head needed some attention. That said, the room was refreshed daily and the staff were attentive throughout our stay. All in all, a comfortable and decent stay. With a few small updates, it could easily become a standout option in Daylesford.

Loved our stay here we decided to have another night. Comfortable warm rooms and wonderful staff. Will definitely be back, thank you 🙏

The rooms look nothing like the photos. They are very old,small and run down....Sorry we won't be coming back.
