I met Angela as my host and she’s just the best!! Great service mind, super polite, and very warm. Not only the hotel decor feels like a vintage homey getaway, she fills the role of a welcoming host! No negative comments. Her cooking is amazing too!!! 💓💓💓💓 rare gem this place.

If you're looking for the closest place to heaven in the Tuscan hills of Florence, we found it here! The environment, hospitality, attention to detail, and then of course the buffet breakfast filled with freshness and love... what MORE can we say. We extended our stay, and will DEFINITELY return! 💖

I wanted to UPDATE my review from when we stayed there for a week 2012, We were in room #2, which was a beautiful room. Perfect for 2 of us. This boutique hotel was just fabulous and did not disappoint. I golfed at the famous and historic Ugolino golf course. The hotel seems to be connected with golf. Perfect immaculate grounds. Fabulous rooms. But.... I am not sure of the window situation in other rooms on the other sides of the hotel. This review update is based on our stay in Room #2 and from my many photos of that room. After looking at these photos and recalling memories of the room, I saw that the room has terra cotta barriers on all the windows. It's like a cell block. The room door is the only way out. You are total shut in the room with decorative cement blocks. Other than the door you could never get out in an emergency. In my mind (then and now,) this is a FIRE TRAP, a REAL POTENTIAL hazard. Maybe they changed it (requires a lot of demo and construction) since then. But CHECK YOUR ROOM WINDOWS and change rooms if you see decorative terra cotta blocks over your window(s). Ask about fire safety. The safety laws in Italy should not allow this. But then again, this is Italy.
