Super good hotel. Nice rooms, super clean, modern, friendly staff, good food, good beach. We had to change hotel from our first, as the standard was so bad, more a getto. Big thanks hotel Marika for helping us. Strongly recommended.
⸻ We had the pleasure of staying three nights in this small but charming hotel. Our room, with a view of the pool, was fairly spacious, clean, and offered the necessary amenities. Breakfast with a sea view was a big plus. The breakfast selection was decent. No complaints there. Parking is available right next to the hotel, which is convenient if you have a rental car. The biggest advantage of this hotel is the service provided by the staff. It was outstanding. They were extremely friendly and very helpful. My boyfriend sprained his ankle on the first day. They provided us with ice several times a day to put on his ankle and even let us use crutches they had at the hotel. At check-out, they even allowed us to keep the crutches. We would like to sincerely thank the hotel staff once again for their excellent service!
I had high expectations when booking a high-class room with a private jacuzzi, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The room was outdated and did not justify the price at all. What bothered me most was that as a hotel guest, you still have to pay for everything – sunbeds, towels, etc. This is simply not the case in other hotels I’ve visited in Crete, and I’ve been to quite a few. The pictures on Booking do not reflect the reality of the hotel. After the first night, I downgraded to a standard room because the premium room wasn’t worth the money. On top of that, I experienced a 30-minute power outage, which was quite frustrating. The receptionist on duty was very friendly and tried to help, but unfortunately, the issues went beyond her responsibility. What really annoyed me was the lack of consistency and transparency from the reception staff: at first, one receptionist told us we could stay in the room without extra cost, based on what the manager had said. But minutes later, another receptionist contradicted that and asked for an additional fee – which I refused to pay. This kind of behavior is simply not professional. As a Genius Level 3 customer, I usually receive upgrades or at least fair treatment, but that was not the case here. I cannot recommend this hotel. There are many far better options in Crete that actually deliver the quality and service they promise. This hotel is far from meeting the standard its prices suggest.
