Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa

Hugo was the best! He played 21 with us at the Marina Fiesta Hotel and made it such a fun experience. His energy and personality kept everyone entertained, and he truly went above and beyond to make our time memorable. Five stars all the way!

My daughter and I spent last weekend at Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa and are very happy with our stay. The hotel was beautiful and the staff very kind and accommodating. Thank you to Tony, Alfredo. Debbie, Leonardo, the spa, security, housekeeping and front desk staff for taking such good care of us. Tony especially went out of his way to greet us daily, answer our questions, and help with our touring and spa plans. We received a very generous number of discounts as well complimentary drinks and services in return for our attendance at a delicious breakfast and sales presentation at Hacienda Encantada hotel. (The presentation did take about 3.5 - 4 hours but only because we wanted all the information...we could have said no thank you and left much sooner, if we wished. You will probably speak to 3 or 4 people, but no one was rude or pushy... just be sure you understand that the gifts offered are tied to your attendance at the presentation...a more than fair exchange of your time for some terrific benefits to enhance your stay).We could have stayed at Marina Fiesta without the sales pitch and gifts and still had an amazing time lounging by the pool, enjoying wonderful food, drinks, music, massages, shopping, etc. :) The hotel was gorgeous with an open air lobby and three pools, not too large of a property but very comfortable Our room was unexpectedly large with nearly a full kitchen The food and drinks were scrumptious The staff super friendly and helpful The massages a 20 or of 10 ....especially Alejandra and Lourdes! The marina was lively with shopping, and had security at night... just say no thank you to peddlers, and move on, if you wish. We will be back, Marina Fiesta, thank you!

Marina Fiesta sounds amazing on paper but once you get there it's a different story. They nickel and dime you for extra money the whole stay. $5 to clean your room every time, waiters and waitresses openly asking for tips or having to sign a receipt every time you dine out. They also charge $162 for coming and they'll refund it after your stay and deduct charges from that amount. My friend got some makeup on a towel and they charged us $25 for that. Overall I liked the resort but I wouldn't stay here again because I'm used to more upscale resorts that provide better service and more perks for the money spent. They're so busy trying to get you to do a time share here and that was not good either. The mini bar was absolutely sad. Not even a decent beer.
