Marincanto

By far the BEST hotel we have ever stayed at, and we like to splurge on hotels. The room was beautiful, updated and very clean. The staff were friendly and the service was fantastic! The crew at the front desk gave us great recommendations for dinners, and helped us rent a scooter for a day. Our room (212) was stunning. The pool was lovely with great lounge areas. Our favorite part was the private “beach” area. It was mellow and quiet. There were no shortage of beds and umbrellas which was a breath of fresh air because that seems to be an issue at most hotels. After ALOT of research, I was hesitant to book here at first because it wasn’t on an actual beach, however it is much better than the main beach. The main beach itself is not white/soft sand and it is CROWDED! The Marincanto private beach area has a rock to jump off when you get hot and it is very safe and easy to get back up onto the beach. The main beach ends right at the Marincanto private “beach” area. You get the best of both worlds. We were so happy to be at the hotel itself that we did not go into town once as we really enjoyed the quiet/romantic atmosphere. It is a 5 minute beautiful walk with great scenery to get into the main part of town. We are going back to Positano next weekend for the last part of our vacation, and we chose to stay at a hotel closer to the hustle and bustle for a different experience. We wish that we’d just spent our whole vacation at The Marincanto hotel. :) Definitely recommend renting a moped for a day and taking a day trip to Sorrento. Thank you for the wonderful stay! A Truly Unforgettable Stay – 10/10 Experience! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely taken care of. The staff were not only incredibly friendly, they were thoughtful in a way that’s rare to find. It honestly felt like they could anticipate what I needed before I even asked. Every single person I interacted with went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and enjoying myself. Whether it was offering recommendations, arranging details, or simply sharing a laugh, they made my entire stay feel effortless and full of joy. The service was next-level attentive without being overbearing, warm yet professional, and delivered with a genuine smile every time. You can tell that the team here truly loves what they do, and it shows in every little detail. Let’s talk about the view, absolutely breathtaking. Whether I was enjoying my morning coffee or winding down in the evening, the scenery was nothing short of magical. And the best part? There were several peaceful and thoughtfully designed spots throughout the property to take it all in. The location is also unbeatable, close to everything I wanted to explore, yet tucked away just enough to feel like a serene escape. It’s that rare combination of convenience and tranquility. I will absolutely be back—not just for the comfort, the views, or the stunning setting, but because of the staff. Palo and Dario were exceptional! They brought such a fun, relaxed energy to every interaction and made the experience feel like a true pleasure, not just a stay. Five stars isn’t enough!

Fabulous hotel, great views although quite a steep walk up from the beach But the views are spectacular, so it's all worth it. Paolo On reception was excellent and could not have been more helpful. He really went out of his way to look after us, all the staff Were extremely helpful and professional.
