The best thing about Sand Beach Club is the location! It is right at the end of Shore Drive, so the beach is never congested. There is a country club next-door, so on the Fourth of July you get a private fireworks show. We’ve been coming here since 1984 and have truly enjoyed it.

Great time, great location. We stayed in the condos. Quiet, nice spot on the beach. Right next to a small inlet and marsh. Clean area.

Upon arrival, we were thrilled to have finally made it to the beach. We rushed out onto the balcony to enjoy the view and closed the sliding glass door behind us—only to discover we were completely locked out. Thankfully, the interior handle was already broken, which ironically allowed us to get back in. Not exactly the welcome we were hoping for. As we explored the condo further, we started to notice more issues. The bunk bed in one of the rooms was extremely unstable—it wobbled significantly with even the slightest touch, which made it feel unsafe. Since we didn’t purchase the linen package, we brought our own sheets. However, when we removed the comforters to put them on, we were shocked to find the mattress pad on the full-size bed was badly stained. It looked as though it had been heavily soiled and never washed, which was incredibly off-putting. We arrived on a Saturday and received a call around 2 PM letting us know we could check in early. Unfortunately, we were still on the road and couldn’t take advantage of that. When we arrived later, the rental office was closed, so we picked up our keys from the lockbox. We had to return on Monday to complete the final paperwork. At that point, we reported all of the issues to Monica in the office. Unfortunately, she didn’t seem concerned—if anything, she appeared annoyed that we brought these problems to her attention. On Wednesday (three days into our stay), the maintenance man finally called to address the issues. He said he couldn’t fix the broken balcony door handle because he didn’t have a replacement, and the bed required a two-person job, so he’d have to come back Friday—just a day before we were scheduled to leave. Later that evening, we were notified he returned while we were out and claimed to have fixed the bed and taped over the door handle as a temporary solution. However, when we returned, we saw that the bed was still loose and unstable. The next day, another maintenance man came out and told us the balcony door was in such poor condition that the entire door would need replacing. He also realized the bed had not been properly fixed, and thankfully, he took the time to tighten it using longer screws. He was professional, courteous, and genuinely helpful—something we hadn’t experienced until that point. He even mentioned he would report to Monica that the earlier maintenance work had not been properly completed. The only saving grace of this vacation was the location. Being right on the beach was absolutely wonderful, and we made the most of that. However, the condition of the condo itself was very disappointing and did not match the photos shown online. I would not recommend staying or renting at Sands Beach Club from Booe Reality. The property was poorly maintained, and the customer service left much to be desired. For the price and location, we expected better—not just in terms of the accommodations, but also in how concerns were handled.
