Marinus Beach Hotel

I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel to everyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Croatia. The rooms are lovely and comfortable with a stunning sea view and balcony. Sunbathing on the beach was an amazing and relaxing way to spend the day, and the pool was a perfect alternative to the crystal clear sea. The daily breakfast was high-quality and delicious with lots of choice. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and always ready to help. The location is idyllic - it’s in a small village in a quiet bay with multiple restaurants and bars so you can try something new every night. The hotel restaurant is excellent and the beach bar next to the hotel was also great for an afternoon drink or snack. We loved every minute and will surely be back soon!

High Quality, but NOT "family friendly". This hotel was very nice and staff was very helpful, as expected for the VERY expensive rates... However despite the fact that we have friends that live up the hill and it would be great to stay at this hotel again, when we visit Croatia, I think we’ll choose another hotel because of the policy about our child not being able to have two of her “non- registered guest” friends in the pool. Although I understand this policy in theory, the hotel and pool are very small for a "beach resort" it’s too rigid a policy for visiting families with friends in the area who want to relax and enjoy the beach / pool etc. It seemed a strange and a bit to rigid a policy and we''ve honestly never had to deal with this type of policy at any of the other 100+ resorts we stayed at over the years, especially for the VERY expensive room rates. Also the restaurant was pretty bad quality for the food in the area. It was actually the worst food we had in at the 10 restaurants we visited in Croatia that week. Any of the restaurants 100 yards away we much better. Maybe they are trying to cater more to older couples without kids, or older couples sailing around who just want a nice shower for a night... but I would NOT call this a super "family friendly" hotel. So although it’s a nice hotel we probably will choose another for those two reasons.

Its a disaster of a hotel. We had contacted them few days ahead to see if the hotel kitchen is open, and they said its working every day from 1pm to 10 pm and we are welcome to come. We came few minutes before 1 pm, had a drink at the terrace and after they initially told us we can have a lunch they than stated we are not welcome as they have busy schedule the next day?!? Very unprofessional. Avoid.
