Clean and modern and most importantly AIR CONDITIONED. Comfortable beds with TWO PILLOWS! It's also very quiet despite being close to a busy area. The hotel is set back off the street which is good because its in a bit of a rough close to the main train station. I enjoyed my stay here and recommend it for visiting Munich.
Excellent location just a short walk from Munich Hauptbahnhof (main station) making it also a great base for exploring Munich by public transport. The hotel features a swimming pool with a nice view, but unfortunately the water was quite cold making it more of a quick dip than a relaxing swim. In terms of appearance, the hotel feels a bit dated with lots of chrome and gold giving it a somewhat old-fashioned look. While room rates are on the higher side, there were extra charges of €2 for storing luggage for a few hours and €5 for access to the gym or sauna. Breakfast was generous with many tasty options, sparkling wine and a good selection of cheeses but the fruit salad was disappointing; mostly apple, with little pineapple, orange or grapes making it feel a bit cheap. That said, the staff were pleasant and particularly friendly during breakfast service.
The staff have inconsistent service. We had a great experience with the way they provide services when you need help with the room etc. however, one of the staff members was extremely rude with parking situation . It’s not like I asked for free parking - the parking lot had an issue with the machine due to which people couldn’t park and I went in to ask how does it work. He went - no one offers parking here in such a location, it is not our problem. Why does he have to be rude? Instead why can’t he explain that it isn’t a lot owned by them and they are unable to help unfortunately? Rude staff member just one person for this one thing has made me think this hotel is not a place recommended - never gona book.
