Marriott East Lansing at University Place

My family and I were there this past weekend for my nieces wedding. The hotel was in a great location and the service was great and what I have come to expect from Marriott. The wedding was at a different venue but the Sunday Morning breakfast was great. The other facilities were above many of their peers. Having the Michigan Flyer just outside the door was very helpful

Very nice, spacious and quite luxurious hotel. It has a 24h gym, for hotel guests, not bad equipped, which is a great plus. The breakfasts are available, but paid, u less some gold card membership or something. Pretty expensive for eating in, fortunately surroundings offer quite a choice of breakfasts instead of hotel for half price of the hotel. Air con in room quite loud, but I think that's how they usually are in USA. Quick elevator, but also staircases to use if somebody likes that way. In general I would chose this hotel again. Despite little issues, still full set of stars

I've stayed at many Marriott hotels over the years. This one (and another in Michigan I'm about to review) had serious internet issues. I'm East Lansing I got about 6MB/s, which wasn't great for having to do a Teams call during the day. On Netflix I saw buffering indicators I'd never seen before. The hotel location was great, the staff was great, but the web speed was brutal (unfortunately that is important in the modern world). The bathroom was also a bit dated with some mildew along the base of the shower, and the light over the shower region wasn't mounted very well. Food was great, and the wine list by the glass at the bar was good. Will I stay here again, yes. Will I expect a good internet connection, no. Location was amazing for anything related to MSU and East Lansing. Nice parking area.
