Marriott Hutchinson Island Resort & Beach Villas Golf & Marina

Loved it here! All of the staff that we interacted with were super friendly and helpful. The room was nice, bright, and spacious. They had live music by the pool the last 2 days we were there (Friday and Saturday). We were at the main building, not the location actually on the beach, and I think it is better due to a bigger pool and 3 different locations to eat on the premises.

This is a beautiful hotel. The location is fantastic. However I did have a problem with the shower I was only there for one night. The shower did not work because the button was missing to make the shower work through the shower head. I was offered no compensation even though I went to the front desk to tell them what was wrong I expected something to be done but nothing was done. But but the housekeeping of the room was fantastic so the housekeeping department is doing an excellent job. Front desk may need a little work.

Resort was in a quiet location, good for a relaxing weekend. The reception desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. The information we received from them were very inaccurate, however. First, they told us about the golf aqua driving range, where we get a bucket of golf balls to shoot towards targets on a pond. The failed to tell us that we need to wear closed toe shoes. My wife was wearing open-toe shoes and she was not allowed to get a bucket of golf balls and to play. I had to go back for a second time to explain that we were not notified of this requirement. The lady at the golf counter allowed her to get the free bucket of golf balls, but she was not allowed to play. Second, we asked for a late checkout which they granted. They took our card keys back to rescan to reflect the time for this late checkout. However, when we got back to our room after the regular checkout time, our keys were not working. We had to flag a housekeeper to let us in since we left our ID inside the room. Third, they said that shuttle service was available at the resort. They failed to mention that the shuttle runs were slow as there was only one golf cart shuttle available for the entire resort. With regards to service at other resort locations, the service at Latitudes Bar during dinner was extremely slow. Nobody approached our table and we had to go to the bar. There, we were told that someone would come to our table if we were dining. The waiter arrived and took our orders, but he did not bring us even water after he was done taking our orders. They planned to bring the appetizer at the same time as the course meal. They brought our skirt steak well done when they even asked us how we wanted the meat and we told them medium. Although they compensated us for the bad experience, we're left with a horrible experience we couldn't erase
