My mom and I stayed here for a mother-daughter trip and had the best time. We got upgraded to the top floor with an amazing marina view—such a nice surprise! The hotel is super clean, well-maintained, and has so many fun perks. The daily $23 food credit covered our Dole Whip cravings at the pool bar, and we loved the wine tastings (very generous pours!) and free bike rentals around the marina. It felt like a mini resort getaway in the middle of the city. Would 100% come back! Shout out to Richard, our bellman. He was welcoming and gave great tips and recommendations for our time in San Diego.
Perfect Birthday & New Year Getaway – Oceanfront Paradise! I stayed at this resort to celebrate my birthday and New Year, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The oceanfront view from my room was stunning — waking up to the sound of the waves and watching the sunrise was unforgettable. The resort has multiple pools, each with its own vibe, and I loved spending time relaxing by the water with a drink in hand. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and felt truly luxurious. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay special. From the warm welcome to the little birthday touches, I felt genuinely cared for. The New Year celebration was full of energy, great music, and a festive atmosphere that made the night one to remember. This resort exceeded all my expectations and made my celebration incredibly memorable. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and upscale beachfront escape. I’ll definitely be returning!
You are paying the high price for the resort like feel with easy access to major San Diego attractions like the Convention Center (literally next door), Seaport Village, the Marina (next to the pool), and walking distance to downtown/Gas Lamp (the rail is literally outside). Parking: - 2 floors (P1 & P2) -$55 to self park (the line to enter the garage is long and they will ask your name/room number and provide you with the parking ticket) - parking garage is available to public (I believe you can park there for the San Diego Convention Center) and finding spots can be tough. - if you are willing to walk a bit to the elevators then you will have better luck - parking lot is very confusing but each spot has a marked name/number, so just take a picture of where you parked. - $75 for valet, but I saw 5-10 cars parked on the ramp outside leading me to think that even valet parking may have been full Hotel: We stayed in the South tower, which is the older tower but still very clean & nice enough that if you want a cheaper alternative then it would work. However, our room was right next to the rail so we kept hearing the dinging of the rail. They did provide ear plugs inside the nightstand, but there was only one nightstand. They provided hand no lotion and the shower has the multi-dose shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, but there were no robes, no amenity kit, no slippers, and no shower cap. Misc: - an awesome pool and lounge chairs - North tower is renovated - south tower is not - Their gym, fitness classes, and Starbucks are in the north tower. - It seems like the fitness classes are offered only around 7am. - Your $45 amenity fee gives you a $23 food/beverage credit to most places in the hotel except the gift shop & Roy's restaurant. - just go up to the restaurant and tell them which room & name to bill it to and they will deduct the $23 from the total. - if you don't use the $23, you lose it (doesn't roll over) - you have to go to the front desk & stand in the (long) line to ask for the bike or kayak rental voucher good for 1h
