This hotel is a solid 4.5 stars. The location is fantastic and the views of the riverwalk are great from the one side of the hotel. I've stayed here many times and have always been happy with the rooms and the service. It can be a bit pricey at times.
We stayed here for four nights. The rooms were clean. Housekeeping did a wonderful job at cleaning the room each day. The food at the bar was delicious. We went for breakfast at the Cactus Flower in the lobby and it was very good. The man making the omelets did an excellent job. Jennifer, our waitress was so sweet. She was on top of everything and was so friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect. The pool was ok. Could have been cleaner. Maybe the filter isn't working.
We decided to use our Mariott free night stay at this hotel and instantly regretted it. Considering we used our last one at Drover in Fort Worth. The room was extremely dated, we were not offered our upgrade like we always are, the lounge had terrible food. We are use to European Marriott’s, so maybe I need to lower my standards. It’s a shame, we aren’t offered the same quality food in America. The snacks at 5:30 resembled dog food, old vegetables, and cold options that were suppose to be warm. The desserts were better, although limited and not fresh. The breakfast was a little better but had old strawberries plated with obvious mold on the plate. Bacon and eggs were great. The room was dated. Clean. You can hear EVERY word in the room next door. Huge security risk for private information. The lady next to us had a business call, I heard the whole conversation as well as numbers given. We knew exactly when she got up to use the restroom and heard it all. Might as well open the door inbetween us. It was terrible. Definitely not the date night vibe we were looking for. The bathroom was small & dated. We definitely won’t be back or recommending this hotel for a riverwalk experience. Check in lady was extremely friendly and inviting to the hotel though. *One last note, apparently it’s a thing for ppl to blare their music while driving down the road. We were on the 25th floor and could hear it all up until midnight.
