Martinhal Sagres Beach Family Resort

Beautiful resort with everything that a young family needs. Would highly recommend. We had some very windy days, which I think is probably very normal for the location, but worth packing a few hoodies/warmer tops for the evenings.

Overall a very nice family resort with 3 restaurants on site serving a variety of food, lots of food options for kids and babies. Good size villas and plenty of swimming pools. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Negatives are there is no night time entertainment for adults or kids, kids clubs are 25 euros per child per half day, bathrooms in villas need updating with worn tiles and luke warm water in showers at all times of day. Recommend booking half board directly with hotel as children under 9 will then eat free.

We have just come from a great 2-night stay here. The location and views are truly mind blowing, facilities are great - especially for children. Pools are well heated, too. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I am removing 1 star for a number of reasons: occasionally it felt like a cash grabbing operation, 25 euros for 3 hours at the kids club might still be within the acceptable range, but 24 euros for a yoga class is excessive. The booking system you have to use for restaurants and activities is very tedious to use and not optimised for mobile phones, the express checkout did not work at all. We had to leave early on our last day and got the take-away breakfast which was incredibly bland; considering the price we paid we can certainly expect a little more variety.
