Maru Maru Hotel

The maid staff and valets were great and very helpful but we found the manager in the restaurant difficult to watch - he berated his entire female staff in front of customers on multiple occasions when they were doing an excellent job. He also openly tried to pacify/ buy favor from male customers he wanted to impress by giving them alcohol. This misogynistic behavior was uncomfortable for our group.

Ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and service was beyond slow. We were a big party but there's no reason we should have sat for over an hour waiting between courses with no one to offer drink refills or explain the wait. Some food when it was delivered was barely warm to cold. The food tasted fine but nothing worth the 3 hrous spent there most of which was waiting for the food. The live music was nice at least.

The location was great. The staff could be a little happier. The main issue was the noise. Karaoke blasting into our room well past 10pm was not acceptable. In addition you could hear chairs scrapping across the floor from the bar above.
