Marulhos Resort By Mai

This is a beautiful resort! We rented a room from an individual owner and stayed a couple of days enjoying the beach of Muro Alto. We also paid for breakfast and dinner during our stay. ROOM: Beautiful room, well kept with some wear and tear. It was difficult to use the stove top as it was not heating up properly. FOOD: Great selection of breakfast items. Lots of variety, fresh, and delicious. Dinner was also very nice, however I wish we had more variety (as we did at breakfast). Dinner is manly pizza, a small section of salad, and heavier meals (rice, beans, meat, spaghetti etc..) no true options for a lighter dinner. Breakfast and Dinner open at 7 and close at 10. SERVICE: Overall decent service but staff usually looked unhappy and were abrupt when speaking to guests. LOCATION: The facility is amazing and well equipped. Several pools available, game area, sauna, gym, and a private location to enjoy the beach. Highly recommend this place!

It's not bad. Nothing is close, so you'll have to take an Uber to do any shopping or site-seeing. The pools were very nice. The beach had mostly rock and coral, so not great for beach goers.

HORRIBLE!! UNSAFE!! windows will not lock in room and others have huge cracks of space. Someone broke into our room, and we left 4 days earlier than planned, ruining our vacation. The owner REFUSES to do what is right and refund us or correct the many issues. 3 separate water leaks also. You walk around with these stupid wristbands "with your room #" on them so EVERYONE can see. Fitness is ok only because of one machine, but is TINY, and you must get a stupid reservation to workout. The food at Restaurant is bad. Chicken parmasuan was no good and made us sick. We were not able to enjoy the pool or beach, which was the only good thing that seemed nice and the hotels ONLY attractive asset. This is no resort and is simply UNSAFE and does not deserve above a 1-Star rating, if that high.
