Marumine Kanko Hotel

This hotel, although dated, was fabulous. We stayed in a room with a valley view and private onsen. The bath felt luxurious with a view of the river. It was great to have a private onsen experience and to be provided yukata to wear. We saw that other reviews mentioned a strange smell but we think this is just the tatami mat smell. We did not try the buffet as we are vegetarian but there is a 7 Eleven a short walk away which has vegetarian snacks. The view and the private onsen is well worth the money.

Marumine Kanko Hotel was an amazing stay. We had a traditional Japanese room with a private onsen and a stunning view over the valley – absolutely wow. The hotel itself is so impressive, really big and beautiful, and you can spend so much time just wandering around and exploring. The room and private onsen were fantastic, and there were so many amenities provided. We also had breakfast and dinner, both very good. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. It honestly reminded me of something out of Spirited Away. The area is very calm and beautiful. Not much to do around the hotel, but I thinks that's kind of the point when you stay here. We took a few small day trips to the old Ouchijuku town and Aizuwakamatsu. Would definitely recommend.

The onsen was nice with a nice view warm and cold we got the free shuttle car first we got alphard then alphard next nissan we got the japanese style family room the next the negative thing the normal japanese style room was smelly. When we booked online the photo from the view was great but the reality was awful i got the third floor room the from the view just roof so we asked to change the room but that night the hotel already full. But in 2nd night we got upgraded to the the family room. And the view from this room so beautiful. But since its nature location so many dead insects. marumine-an i see the instant ramen was delicious i also bought the yakult its okay i think
