Mas Basico Hotel

This hotel is so basic it is charming. I hope that makes sense. I will return in the future. The staff and facilities were wonderful. The room service food was excellent.

I absolutely adored +Basico. (Actually, I went there months ago and was determined to submit my positive review eventually because they really deserve credit for their excellent customer service and good facilities.) About us: We're a US American family living in Puebla. We've visited Veracruz a few times but whether a hotel in the historic center, a chain hotel, or an AirBnB I've never been pleased with the options for lodging. But from now on +Basico will be where we stay in Veracruz. During our visit in July 2024 the staff were so nice and flexible, the food was super yummy, the pool was clean, and, most importantly for me in a humid climate, the rooms had zero bad odors. So many hotels on the costa smell like mold or old cigarettes or sweat. Not the +Basico! They also seemed to have a variety of room sizes, the parking was safe, it was easy to drive or taxi to stores, restaurants, and the beach. And did I mention the food on site was yummy, which was awesome after a long day playing at the beach! Totally exceeded my expectations, and was terrific value. Can't wait to return!
