This hotel is an absolute must. Amazing setting, friendly staff, and delicious food
Hôtel Mas de l’Oulivié is an outstanding hotel and a delightful place to stay in Provence. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and exceptionally well maintained. Staff, including those at reception and servers for breakfast, lunch, and the bar, are friendly and helpful. This is my favorite hotel in Provence and one of my favorite hotels of any place I have stayed. It is comfortable and relaxing and feels like the best of a home away from home. Over the past 20 years, I have stayed in this hotel many times. Mas de l'Oulivié has always been good but seems better with each visit. Breakfast, lunch, lite fare, wine, and drinks are served at the hotel on the lovely patio and around the beautiful pool, weather permitting. Both the cuisine and service are very good. The hotel is located in the country within a 30-60 minute drive of many cities and sites, such as Arles, Avignon, St. Remy de Provence, Les Beaux de Provence, Aix de Provence, Pont du Gard, and Nimes. Mas de l’Oulivie is an easy 30-minute drive from the Avignon TGV rail station. Many excellent restaurants, both more casual and more upscale, are within easy 10-15 drives of Hôtel Mas de l’Oulivié. I express my gratitude and appreciation to the owners and to Noémie, Amel, Isabelle, Dominique, Leo, Samuel, and others for being an exceptional team at the hotel and for providing such an inviting and warm accommodation.
Room was extremely dated, 80’s furniture. Needed updating - they actually had wet paint on the knob to fridge (got this on my hands). Parking is in a locked pen which made unloading and loading a challenge. Bath door handle jammed locking wife in toilet room. As a map would show, you are not near anything. Bar restaurant seemed overpriced like $28 for 4 pieces of cheese. Breakfast overcharged me but was able to get deducted from bill when checking out. Was not the “Provance Experiance” one hopes for.
