Stayed here after a long hike and they went out of their way to set up the Sauna for me.

I enjoyed a wonderful 11 night stay at Hotel Cristallo. The room was very comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean, lovely view from the balcony. Breakfast buffet was delicious with great variety and the breakfast waitress was always helpful. I used the sauna a few times which was lovely after a days hiking, and when snow unexpectedly arrived in September the heating came on and my room was always toasty. Its a short steep walk into town centre to easily reach cable car and supermarket, also very handy for the Carpe Diem bus stop where all buses call, so its very easy to get around especially as hotel gives a free bus pass. Thank you to everyone at Cristallo who made my stay so fantastic- I could not have found a better base to explore all the incredible mountain hikes around Val di Fassa. I especially loved Val Duron, worth the rather expensive shuttle bus - stunning scenery, the first few km are fairly flat and accessible to most. I hope to return to explore more and will definitely book Hotel Cristallo again.

I stayed 3 nights as a solo traveler at Hotel Cristallo and recommend it highly for a multitude of reasons: its location surrounded by magnificent mountain views, its comfort, cleanliness, good breakfasts, free and convenient parking, its comparative affordability and value for money, its proximity by foot to the Catinaccio/Rosengarten lift with access to trails, proximity to an excellent grocery store, as well as the wonderful cultural and educational Museo Ladin de Fascia, good places to eat, and generally the hotel's pleasant surroundings--not to mention its prime position as a central waypoint for travel to and from other villages, sites and destinations within 30-90 minutes RT by car. That might all sound like hyperbole for Hotel Cristallo clustered amidst so many other hotels, but what really made it stand out for me during my travels and hiking in the Dolomites was the extraordinary consideration and attentiveness Erich at reception personally gave me as he responded so knowledgeably and helpfully to my queries and interest in exploring and discovering what to see and how to get there, both locally and regionally, during and after my stay--it was for that simple reason I decided to stay an additional day. Erich's input was a bright light for my visit, and that in itself is my primary reason for writing this review. I am most pleased to recommend Hotel Cristallo.
