We stayed here for two nights. This was the most beautiful and best Masseria we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect, the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is exceptionally fantastic and extensive. The rooms are perfect and clean. We were sad that we only stayed for two nights. We will definitely come back for a longer stay. If I may mention one point for improvement, the mattress was a bit too firm for my taste (which is always a matter of personal preference), but it also seemed slightly worn in. Other than that, 5* for everything! Hopefully, see you soon! 🙏🏻☀️"

Our stay at Masseria dei Monaci was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt the warm hospitality of the team. It’s clear that this is a family-oriented place, where every detail is thoughtfully cared for. The peaceful surroundings and serene atmosphere offered a perfect escape from the chaos of the cities we visited during our Italy tour. The genuine warmth and personal touch from everyone at Masseria dei Monaci made our stay unforgettable. If you're looking for a tranquil and authentic experience in Italy, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

The most disappointing stay in a hotel EVER! Please note the hotel are very scathing if you don't say perfect things about their hotel= unprofessional! Because of this, I was very reluctant to deal with them when we had an issue because I didn't want stress on our important holiday. We booked the Junior Suite, which looked great & MUCH bigger than in real life. As soon as we walked in the room was overpowered by the smell of chlorine from the tiny plungepool. It looked much bigger in the pictures but that is the case of all their 'fisheye lens' photos of the bedrooms. Immediately we said we couldn't stay here, for health & safety reasons more than anything else. No windows to let fresh air in to placate the chlorine and the bed linen was very damp to the touch. Almost like the water had been in there all Winter. The 'plungepool' was so tiny, it would make more sense to refill the area the morning of the reservation instead of having all those chemicals in the atmosphere for guests to breathe into their lungs. We asked for a different room, preferably a better room as we had paid £1.8K for this room. They told us they only had a Deluxe Double. We had no choice but to take this as we had planned to stay for 6 nights. We stayed in the room 1 night and hated it, it was NOT what we had intended for our stay and we were very upset by the lack of 'suite' area to sit and relax rather than sit on the bed upstairs AND the hotel had declared they had a restaurant but the restaurant was closed!!!! We had seen how nasty and cutting they were with their responses to reviews that had not been to their liking, so I did not want to get into that, so we enlisted hotels.com to help as we are Gold members. The hotel was having NONE of it, all we asked for was a refund of the difference between the room we in all good faith had paid for, and the downgraded room we ended up with. They REFUSED!!! We have been disgusted by their attitude. Please note their breakfast was lovely, we had it the first morning we stayed BUT we were so upset by the whole situation we left after the 2nd night. It was in the middle of nowhere, which is exactly why we booked it, BUT we did this so that we could dine in their restaurant each night. There was nothing when booking to say that the restaurant was closed. This is misleading. As was so much about this masseria. Problem being that they need to consider that the customer is always right. We are seasoned considerate global travellers who leave their accomodation exactly as we found it. It had so much potential but with this experience I would urge you to move on and find somewhere else to stay! :(
