We had a very nice experience; well maintained facilities, clean pool, great breakfast and outstanding restaurant. The staff is very helpful and accommodating; in particular Monica and her team in the SPA, we had a great massage experience which I really recommend. The lady serving breakfast was super efficient and always with a friendly attitude. Also to mention the front desk clerk Alessandro that run the extra mile for us. Thank you! We will come back next year

My fiance and I spent a weekend at La Grottella last April. We purchased the special offer which include the SPA, dinner and breakfast. The location is simply stunning and we were really impressed by the quality of the service received and the food. The style of the room was very rustic and tipical of the local area. We are definitely going to go again! (The pictures attached is the one I took during the sunset)

A disappointing stay. We had booked a family room with a baby cot although were shown to a normal room with just an additional single bed, far from ideal given I was with my wife, mother and 11 month old baby. No sign of a baby cot either. Despite showing my booking and various reconfirmations, we were told nothing could be done, so I guess we were supposed to just hold our son in our arms through the night? After a tense conversation to put it mildly, thankfully some other guests arrived and it turned out they had been put in our room by mistake. A few issues with our room, the toilet seat was broken, there weren’t enough toiletries, no bottled water, and the restaurant wasn’t open on our first night. There was also no water in the main swimming pool, and the other pool’s water was green / freezing. Some better points, the restaurant was reasonable both in terms of quality and price. We had some nice pasta delivered to our room on our final night. In summary it wasn’t a four star experience, 2/3 at best.
