Masseria Mattiani

A wonderful week of a family get-together from Canada in this elegant, spacious villa, in a vast garden, near Apulia’s major attractions. Mr. Oronzino went above and beyond to make the stay of 10 people as comfortable as possible. Highly recommended!!

We spent a whole week with a group of friends at Masseria Mattiani. We had a great time there. The villa had everything what we were looking for. On top, Ononziano made our time even better there, providing us with fresh vegetables, fruits and red wine everyday. He was so guest friendly and was spreading so much positive vibes. The property includes also fig trees and a wineyard, making the overall experience even better.

We, a group of 5 couples, spent a week here. The house is about 400 years old and has been refurbished with excellent taste and great workmanship. The swimming pool is excellent, about waste deep for its full length and it uses salt instead of chlorine to keep it clean. There is a lovely covered outdoor dining area serviced by a complete outdoor kitchen - cooker, hob, fridge, dishwasher and BBQ. There is also an indoor kitchen. All the bedrooms are all large with top quality bathrooms en-suites and air conditioning. The manager lives on the far side of the site and he is polite, obliging and very helpful. The house is about a 15 minute walk from Campi Salentina. There is not much to see in Salentina, but it has supermarkets, coffee shops and good restaurants. The house is an easy drive to many interesting and beautiful towns, being about 30 mins direct drive to both the Adriatic Sea and the Gulf of Taranto. It is, however, almost a 2 hour drive from Bari Airport. Overall it is a lovely, but rural house.
