We stayed at Masseria Mongiò dell'Elefante for five nights with our 5 year old daughter and had a truly wonderful experience. The property strikes the perfect balance—elegant and relaxing, yet incredibly family-friendly. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, always kind and accommodating. The meals were a highlight, thoughtfully prepared using ingredients from the beautiful on-site garden. The location is also ideal. It’s just a short walk to the beach, or the team can arrange access to a nearby lido about 10 minutes away, where everything is taken care of for you. Can't say enough positive things. We loved our time here and will absolutely return the next time we’re in the Otranto area.
beautiful, serene, delicious food, and most of all a fantastic staff. When things go as planned it it easy to say it was great, when you end up in the hospital then you really know how great the staff is. From getting us to the hospital, to checking in with us, and translating the Italian doctor's instructions - we felt supported and cared for and the whole experience made us love the place even more. Beautiful pool that was never crowded, and a short walk to a lovely beach with great swimming and sunbathing. The meals were wonderful, a bountiful breakfast buffet, simple salads and pastas for lunch, and well thought out well portioned 4 course dinner that was never too much, and highlighted the fantastic local seafood. Very good local wines, too. We can't wait to return, albeit probably not to the hospital! ( although that was also a positive experience with very caring doctors, and locals who took us under their wings and made sure we were ok)
Lovely visit! We had a lovely time at the Masseria. The location is beautiful, and the main pool is amazing. The food and wine at the Masseria is outstanding, genuinely fantastic. The beach is lovely, but was incredibly busy when we visited in August so consider this if you are expecting the place to yourself All the team at the Masseria are friendly, professional and very accommodating. A tranquil place and happy to recommend
