Masseria Testaferrata

My girlfriend and I stayed 4 nights in this wonderful Masseria near Syracuse (12min by car). The vibe of the place is amazing, very peaceful. The room we had (Number 1) was perfect, it was spacious with AC and even a small rooftop from where you can look at the sunset and also Ortigia by night. The place was amazing, but what made our journey really special was the host, Francesco. He is the soul of the Masseria, always in a good mood (even when his favorite football team lost 5-0 against PSG) and helpful. He has a bunch of nice addresses in Syracuse and around the Masseria. In a nutshell, I can only recommend you to stay in this little paradise that will sure bring anything but joy on your Sicilian trip.

This was amazing one week in Masseria Testaferrata. Great location, amazing and wondering hotel villa with swimming pool, incredible views and gardens. Great breakfast. Francesco was very helpful and friendly. Have a lot tips around Siracusa ❤️ We enjoyed that week. Highly recommend to all of them who wants to discover heart of Sicily. Rooms were very clean and comfortable it is also very important ❤️

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel turned out to be very unpleasant due to an unfortunate situation. We realized that exactly half of our cash had disappeared - from two separate wallets, which were stored separately. We weren’t using cash, as we paid everywhere by card in our phones, so we only noticed the missing money a day later, when we needed to pay for parking. We didn’t spend that money, and the fact that exactly the same amount disappeared from two different wallets raises serious concerns. In the morning, we went to breakfast, and during that time, the cleaning staff entered our room. A few minutes later, when my boyfriend saw someone had entered, he took our wallets and documents, but we didn’t check their contents then - we assumed everything was fine. We noticed the missing money later. We reported the situation, but nothing came of it apart from being told they were sorry and that it was our fault for not checking immediately. Therefore, we warn future guests – in this hotel, it’s best to keep all valuables with you at all times.
