Matamanoa Island Resort

If you are a couple just looking to relax, dive, or honeymoon - this one is for you. Coming from mainland resorts the difference is night and day here. While this resort doesn’t have endless activities, and those that are here are largely weather dependent, none of that would get In the way of a 5-7 day stay. The difference here is the team only doing what they can handle and doing it very well. Service is not island time, and the staff are welcoming friendly and routinely go out of their way for you, take closer notice and you’ll see most staff wear multiple hats around the island making it seems even more impressive. The villas are great, the food is awesome, and the attention to detail is certainly noticeable comparing to other parts of Fiji. Just book it

We’ve just had three nights on Matamanoa Island. It’s a fantastic spot. Beautiful authentic, spacious accommodation; ours had a plunge pool. Bed and bedding were comfortable. The staff were super friendly and made the stay fun with lots of activities. The snorkelling around the reef is incredible. Lots of beautiful tropical colourful fish and corals. We saw a large turtle and a small black tipped reef shark. Food was good. Breakfast included. I’d recommend taking snack food and drinks for the room as they’re not available once you get to the island. Twilight massage was great and in an amazing setting. There was a minor issue with the fresh tap water when we stayed but it was repaired quickly and staff communicated well. I’d highly recommend it and would go back.

Wow, this place was amazing! Very beautiful island and wonderful resort. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely meals and great drinks. Great pool and water sports. They have snorkeling gear and kayaks you can use. I had a massage, which was just wonderful with an amazing view. There are day trips you can do such as a trip to a village, a fishing trip, and visit the castaway island (Tom Hanks movie). These dont happen every day though so book as soon as you arrive. They also have a few activities each day, such as Fijian language class and cooking demonstration.
