Nice large rooms, great kitchen amenities, beds were comfortable and service was great. Great location and walking distance from the supermarket and main street.
This a great hotel if you are staying to enjoy Matamata, Hobbiton and the surrounding area. The rooms are large, the hosts are very helpful and the walk into town is easy. There is also plenty of secure parking.
A really lovely motel. Exceptionally clean and well appointed. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. The only frustrating part of my experience was the “Card Hold/Test” on the day of check-in. There was no prior notice about this requirement, which was difficult as I had my credit card blocked due to past unauthorized transactions. While I understand the need for a valid card, being told my room could be canceled on the day I was traveling felt abrupt and avoidable. The reservation was made about nine months earlier—some advance communication would have made a big difference. Overall highly recommend, but simple communication would improve guest experience.
