Matiana Vi̇ew Cave Hotel

We had a very pleasant cosy stay here. All the outings were arranged by the hotel and it all went smoothly. The people at the reception and the cook were all very friendly. The owner (Yaya - hope i got his name right) was always reachable and helped us out in any issues that we had. The cocker spaniel Lady and the two cats made it homely.

We stayed there for three days , I must say the location of the stay is really good and the rooms were clean maintained well. Just for breakfast they did not had good options and lacked staff and professionalism when it comes to kitchen .

The place has a good location but inconvenient shared parking with other hotels so it can take 20 -30 minutes on a bad morning to get your car out. We had booked through a travel agent for a high floor with a view, which was confirmed and on arrival we got a lower ground room which was musty. Breakfast is good and they have a nice open terrace for balloon viewing but there were never any carpets out, which we were shown on the website even though the rain of the earlier days had passed The bathroom was a joke - a tiny narrow space with leaky rusty faucets and luke warm water on our first night. They refused to change the room and we ultimately had to shift out despite having paid for 8 nights in advance - no refunds from the management. Definitely DO NOT recommend it for the price and management attitude.
