Mauna Kea Beach Hotel Autograph Collection

This is our second time staying here. I love it here; it is my peace in earth. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, the food was good, and it’s all the little extras and thought put into everything here. They start you off with some of the best banana bread and chocolate spread I’ve ever had. And it just keeps getting better from there. The beach is pristine. The gear rental is free. It’s all just amazing. Thank you for making our spring break amazing.

Honestly we had the most wonderful time at Mauna Kea. We have so many friends that have been coming for years with their families and this was our first time. We stayed at another hotel on the first part of our trip and it didn’t come close. Yes, it’s expensive. The island as a whole is expensive but I feel for what you’re getting at MK, it’s worth it. We ate lunch at the beach every day and it was fantastic and the service was lovely. I did take off one Star bc of a strange interaction my husband had in the market with the cashier who demanded he go to the room to get his ID when he was buying a beer (he’s 48 yrs old.) He even showed her a picture on his phone and she refused. When he made the trek for his wallet and came back down, she was gone and the new cashier didn’t even ask. Bizarre and just a pain in the ass for the sake of being difficult. Odd. Didn’t ruin our trip and we’re already talking about returning. Thanks so much.

This resort was nice and quiet, despite the construction going on. Our room was recently renovated and had some electrical problems what we figured out and just dealt with during our stay. I’m always surprised at how expensive resorts and spas are and they really don’t deliver to how expensive they are. Yes it’s beautiful and I would love to stay here again but I’m not sure it really was worth it. I don’t believe we even got a discount because of the construction going on. It’s nice but not for the price!
