Maximilian Grand Hotel

Very nice golf hotel close to the Thermal bath of Bad Griesbach. I visited café with home made cakes. The service was very friendly despite I came 10 minutes before they close. I've got my cappuccino with chocolate cake. After this I met friends in the bar in the evening. They serve food and drinks in a very good quality. The atmosphere was nice because of live music and a singer.

We were staying in hotel Maximilian for weekend wellness.The room was beautifully spacious, overlooking the promenade with very good mattress to sleep on.Pool with thermal water was amazingly relaxing, plenty of chairs, towels etc. In the sauna we were excited with nice aroma and ice cave.The hotel is beautifully designed all over.Finally, the restaurant offere a rich selection both at breakfast and at dinner. The food was perfect. Excellent service and everything worked beautifully.Too bad that the weekend escaped so quickly, we would love to stay for a week.

Will go straight to pros and cons: 1. Great breakfast and dinner (5 dishes for dinner) 2. Nice room, enough space, big wardrobe 3. Liked a lot the lobby place. A lot of sofas, tables, armchairs 4. Didn’t like the blankets. Two very narrow and thin blankets, not feeling free under it, have sleep straight to make sure your full body is covered 5. The elevator sound was heard very well in the room 6. All drinks during the dinner have to be paid (even the water or tea) 7. We booked the hotel in advance mostly for using sauna, but in arrival we have been informed the sauna doesn’t work and for that we have to go to another hotel that is 9 minutes walk. So instead of going down in your bathrobe, you have to take all your stuff, walk to another hotel, explain them who are you and what do you need, go to their sauna, change your clothes and finally use it. After the sauna when you are hot and relaxed again you do the same stuff with all outside movements. With cold windy weather I hope I’ll not be sick soon. This issue at least could be notified in advance to the clients, we would definitely change the tickets. 8. But in general we were happy with the place and the staff. Would come back again.
