May Beach Hotel

Extremely convenient location, in the heart of the walking streets. I booked a switched multiple rooms. I will say the first was a bit tight as the window was small but the second was fantastic. Bright and airy. I did ask that they open the windows prior to me coming in. But it's undeniable the rooms are kept very clean, feels almost new. Beds....we'll they are a spring mattress so not the best, but understandable for the price.

Close to the beach, rooms are cleaned and towels refreshed daily. Value for money I would say, my room didnt quite look like the room on booking dot com but the room next door to me did. Perfectly fine tho

I stayed at this hotel for a month, so I got a really good impression. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the laundry service worked well. The location is quite good for a budget hotel. However, there were several problems with the room. First, the room was way smaller than what was advertised on the booking site, which I find unacceptable; this alone justifies the one star rating for the room. When I arrived, the safe was not working because the battery was dead. Also, the phone in the room did not work. When I moved the bed, I found a thick layer of dirt underneath, which was really disgusting. It made me wonder why the rooms are not properly checked for cleanliness and functionality before guests arrive. The room did not have a window to the outside, only to the hallway. I learned that some rooms have windows only to a dark ventilation shaft, which means no daylight at all. This was not mentioned on the booking site. Also, the bed is was in a very poor condition, I could feel every spring. The rooms also do not block noise well from the hallway, although I did not hear much noise from the street. The bathroom smelled bad and did not have a shower separation, which made the shower experience unpleasant because water would spread everywhere. The shower itself did not work properly. Sometimes the sheets and towels had stains, which is not acceptable. Overall, I would only consider staying here for a couple of nights if there are no other choices, the price is very low, and you don’t have high expectations. It is not a place for a comfortable or enjoyable stay.
