Maya Maya at Mandoon Estate

We were blessed to be able to stay here over the Easter weekend. Our wedding party of 7 rooms were all happy with our rooms. Early Check in was accommodated. Large modern rooms with lovely bathrooms were clean and neat. Waking up to birds chirping in the natural bush and vineyards amazing. Would def go back for a weekend away again

This is a fantastic location with the river just at your back door. I have read on some prior comments about check in at 3pm and while I appreciate rooms need to be made ready would like to see this wound back to at least 2pm, given that check out is 10am. While the rooms are nicely presented there is no wow factor internally fitting with the outside environment. Parking is great with easy access right at your door. The restaurant is worth a visit with the food being nicely presented. There are some awesome beers on offer. The grounds are beautiful to wonder around and well presented. Both check-in and out were quick and efficient. This located is great and close to launch off tours around the Swan Valley. While there is room for improvement, we would stay here again.

The room was nice, but not outstanding. The TV was old and not a smart TV. They had Wi-Fi which was good. Bathrooms were nice. Service was okay and they delivered our food as per normal. Rooms are not sound proof , there is a gap under your door and we had other guests around us partying till about midnight. We called security at 9pm to notify them that they are extremely loud and security did not start till around 10-11pm. I asked for security to please ask them to be quiet and this was not done as they continued to party until midnight. Due to the rooms not being soundproofed we heard everything outside our door and into the next room which didn't help the situation. The check-in time of 3 PM was inconvenient, and the cost of the stay was high for just a bed at over $300 per night, it felt overpriced, especially given that breakfast was not included on the next day. Considering the steep rate, I expected more value, as the experience didn’t match the price tag. To follow on from this, there aren't really extra amenities outside of the room and this is why it is a bit overpriced. Overall: For the amount charged, I had hoped for a better overall stay, including complimentary breakfast, or at least amenities to match the price. A positive was that the staff did acknowledge our security calls and did offer us some compensation for our next stay but it wasn't enough to consider staying again.
