Maya Villa Condo Hotel & Beach Club

This place was great. Somewhere between a hotel and an Airbnb. Gorgeous pool and hot tub in the courtyard and some of the units have a private jacuzzi (although not all of them work). There's a parking garage for free, walking distance to the beach and the hub. Filtered water (and no problems from anyone drinking it at all). And very nice staff. We definitely will be coming back to this very spot! Very much recommend!!

Rooms and service were lovely. But beware: many of the pictures (in particular the ones of a large, open pool area with blue tile) are not of Maya Villa, but a neighboring sister property that you will not have access to. You will have access to the smaller, green tiled pool that is entirely shaded. Also, it is no fault of the hotel, but there isn't much of a beach to access nearby. The beachfront are all taken up by other private properties.

The hotel overall was good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and kept well a few small things such as the shower and water pressure, the fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and another fan did not work at all. We were in room 405. I did enjoy the privacy and the fact that the hotel is not big at all, so it feels private. There is currently construction around the hotel due to new condos being built. Be prepared at 8am to hear some drilling. The location is great, walking distance to everything. Good restaurants and of course the beach.
