Mayfair Hotel Tunneln

The location is very good within less than 2 minutes from the old town. Free good coffee, tee and cookies in the lobby where the public library of Malmö used to be between 1905-1926. They paid a lot of attention to details and many very famous people stayed at this hotel. The breakfast is very rich and you can choose from a very large quality of food, fruits and drink. The staff are exceptionally very nice and always ready to help. I will definitely come back to this hotel again.

Our room was spacious and beautiful. So much history and the panels in each room and even lining the hallway were very interesting and entertaining to read. The generous tea/ coffee/ cocoa and biscuits in the library was a nice offering while resting either waiting to leave or waiting for our rooms. Lovely receptionist whose English was like most Scandinavians, was superb but her American accent revealed she had lived there for a few years. Buffet breakfast was amazing located in the historical cellars, it did feel alittle claustrophobic even for myself, being short and slight.

The Mayfair Hotel was an exquisite and delightful surprise, offering guests the chance to stay within a beautifully preserved piece of Malmö’s rich history. As someone who doesn't typically research a hotel's background beforehand, I found discovering the Mayfair’s fascinating past during my visit truly rewarding. Although compact, the rooms were thoughtfully decorated, full of charming historical touches, and featured exceptionally comfortable beds. The hotel staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience. Its prime location makes it an ideal base for exploring Malmö, with excellent restaurants and attractions all within easy walking distance. I highly recommend the Mayfair Hotel to anyone eager to experience comfort, convenience, and a touch of history during their visit to Malmö.
