One of the most beautiful views we have ever seen. An amazing location, far away from civilization. The hotel is simply but tastefully decorated. The bungalows have gorgeous terraces. It is the perfect place for people who love water sports — the wind blows strongly and almost never stops. We don’t practice water sports, so we stayed here for just one night, but we truly recommend it. Behind the hotel, there is a small, charming village where the local people live. We saw dozens of lemurs there. The food is fine — simple, nothing extraordinary, but we don’t want to be picky. It was fresh, and that’s the most important thing.
We spent a whole week as guests at the Tao, the most beautiful place in northern madagascar. From the very first moment, we felt at home. We received a warm welcome. The beautiful hotel complex and the enchanting villas are impressive in every way. As a guest, you are not only well looked after, but also feel warmly welcomed like part of a family. The entire hotel team ensures that no wishes are left unfulfilled. Many thanks to Patrick, Sevana, and the entire team.
A fantastic resort for kitesurfing, with an amazing spot just in front. Low tide offers the best conditions, but it’s kiteable throughout the day—though the beach can get narrow and the water a bit choppy at high tide. I had 12 unforgettable days of kiteboarding, including a highly recommended downwinder to La Piscine. The wind is mostly onshore, and there’s plenty of room on the water—during my stay, there were never more than 5 kiters on a 1x3 km area. If you're chasing waves, you'll need to head upwind to find some smaller ones, but be cautious of coral, especially at low tide. And don’t forget your small kites—my 7m² had plenty of power on many days, even for a grown man who's not exactly lightweight. But I also made good use of a 13m² during a few lighter wind hours, so bringing a range is definitely a good idea. The rooms are spacious and very clean, but since you're surrounded by nature, you might come across the occasional small animal. The food was outstanding, and the staff were always friendly and helpful, with a smile on their faces. Don’t come expecting parties—instead, enjoy a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, with no cars around, just the occasional traditional boat passing by in front of the resort.
