Maçarico Beach Hotel

Fantastic beachside hotel with modern rooms friendly staff and an amazing rooftop pool with ocean views Perfect for a relaxing getaway in Praia de Mira

Room was quite basic but location was perfect, parking was easy, and staff was helpful and pleasant. Very nice included breakfast in a pleasant dining area. The pool and spa looked nice but we were only there one day so didn't use them. Great ocean views.

Gets progressively worse the more you look around and start taking in everything. Starting at the main attraction, the rooftop pool is filthy, small, and out of date. The jacuzzi had visible lines of dirt around the water line. Also the hotel requires wearing swimming caps in these areas which just seems weird. The sauna did not get up to a true sauna temperature and the steam room smells absolutely awful, like truly could not sit in there. the shower room or whatever it’s supposed to be does not have showers. There’s a hanging cold plunge bucket and that somehow didn’t even seem to be as cold as it should be. The gym was by far the smallest hotel gym I have ever seen, it had maybe three things in there in total. Calling it gym seems like a stretch. Every single amenity was damaged or unusable. Further there were kids all over the place taking away any relaxation of the spa areas. The rooms themselves are fine however do not meet the expectations of a four star hotel. Weird glass wall between room and bathroom and outdated and cheap looking decor.
