McAllisters on 8th

On each of my travels from Europe to Durban, in the last two years, which is about four times a year, I have stayed at McAllistors. The rooms are comfortable and always clean, the location close to Florida Road is perfect. The staff is simply outstanding. Phume and her team make you feel like home. I am glad that I found this little jewel in Morningside and can only recommend it!

Place was absolutely stunning, clean and smelt amazing. Only issue was my therapist- didn't introduce herself, didn't ask what pressure I would like, took forever to actually come in after I removed my clothing and I could hear her yawning and checking her phone every 2 mins. I asked for more pressure which she ignored. Used one hand only multiple times for most of the massage and missed important areas. She didn't seem like she wanted to be there tbh. My mani pedi was pretty average, minimum shine and looks 'scratched' - not what I'm accustomed to. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't an amazing first experience on par with the aesthetics of the place. She did make an awesome coffee freezo though.

Cleansing alone does not "pop acne," and your claim otherwise is incorrect. 3️⃣ Painful extractions: A tool was used for extractions, which was not part of the requested service and caused discomfort and scarring. 4️⃣ Back massage issue: My daughter requested light pressure, yet she received excessive pressure, leaving her in pain afterward. 5️⃣ Pricing discrepancy: I agreed to all pricing, but I was unexpectedly charged R280 for a back massage instead of the advertised R200 special. I simply requested you honor the price that was posted. 6️⃣ False claim of treatment changes: I did not change treatments multiple times—the only addition was a back massage after seeing your advertised offer. Please check our WhatsApp messages for accuracy. 7️⃣ My previous thank-you message: I only thanked you for honoring the R200 price and the drinks, not for the overall experience. After speaking to my daughters, I realized what had actually happened. 8️⃣ Jelly manicure-pedicure claim: It was pre-booked before arrival—I did not change it upon arrival. I was parked in your yard, sitting in my car, trusting your staff to do their job properly. 🔟 Final Note: I expected a professional response and resolution, yet your reply misrepresents facts instead of addressing the real issues.
