wonderful hotel; additionally the restaurant was consistently great food, preparation, and service. one small gripe; bread (though fabulous) was an extra $8, think basic bread should be included). also the room though spacious and charming, on the first floor was a bit noisy, unavoidable as the floors above are old and creak a bit. thankfully stopped at 10 PM. would advise getting an upper room if available. Garden and outdoor eating area VERY charming and relaxing. will definitely stay again soon!

McCloud Hotel is a charming, historic property and likely the best hotel in McCloud. The atmosphere is peaceful and authentic, and the location is ideal for exploring the surrounding nature. Pros: • Historic charm with tastefully decorated, themed rooms • Great location: Close to Burney Falls, McCloud Falls, Mt. Shasta, and Lake Siskiyou • Delicious breakfast with a variety of good options • Sage Restaurant has a fine dining feel, perfect for a relaxing dinner • Beautiful backyard space to relax and unwind • Friendly and helpful staff and the service was excellent • Cozy indoor vibe, includes a few board games for guests Cons: • Rooms are a bit small, and the extra chairs/desks make the space feel tighter • Limited modern amenities - no gym, spa, or pool • Front desk not always staffed, though assistance is available Despite a few space limitations, this hotel makes up for it with its historic charm, fantastic service, and ideal location for nature lovers. Perfect for a quiet getaway, especially if you’re exploring the waterfalls or Mount Shasta region. Would definitely stay again. 👍

This is an old, historic hotel which is comfortable but not fancy. No TV’s and the service is fair. The downstairs sitting room is comfortable. Our bed was comfortable and the shower has hot water and good water pressure. There are plenty of great hikes in the area.
