Medhufushi Island Resort

Awesome honeymoon experience at the resort despite the distance from the airport and a few glitches in service (wine given to us was yuck!). I'd advise people to opt for the All Inclusive package and avail some extra benefits. Everything else is fantastic. The resort is lush green and hosts few people so you won't see crowded beaches. Despite the seagrass, the beaches are clean and clear. We didn't know swimming but we could enjoy our water villa. Spa is okayish, water sports is worth trying and excursions are good too. I'd suggest shark watch instead of dolphin watch. Speed boat transfer is also good if you sit at the back. Be prepared for a long waiting time at the airport during both arrival and departure because sea transfers have their own schedule and you'll have to adjust. Staff is good and food is really nice. I had a gall bladder surgery and hospitalization a month before the trip but I didn't get sick at all thanks to the wide variety of food.

What a great holiday! We thought maybe the weather will be not so good in july, but it was good!! White sand, clear water, even it was not im the main season, there was an entertainment programm every evening. Especially great was the very good buffed and the whole crew. Lets beginn with our waiter and our roomboy and go ahead with the great staff at vilu bar around leader sujith Shanu, Ajin, Herthik, Sarita, and Nithin. We had a beautiful beach villa. Some seagrass at one side of the island but (especially the other side) still paradise! Even great excursions are included!

Below is a detailed breakdown: ### **Pros:** 1. **Scenic Natural Pathways** – Lush greenery throughout the resort creates a serene, nature-immersed ambiance. 2. **Friendly Staff** – The team is welcoming and attentive, enhancing the guest experience. 3. **Beach Villa Location** – The beachfront villas are well-positioned, offering direct private access to the sea. 4. **Rustic Wooden Aesthetic** – The extensive use of wood in design contributes to a calming, natural atmosphere. ### **Cons:** 1. **Beach Quality** – Excessive seaweed/grass along the shoreline hinders swimming and snorkeling. 2. **Outdated Facilities** – The bungalows and furniture appear worn and would benefit from renovation.Also My villa was not well cleaned as I found plastic bottles under the bed 🛏️ 3. **Limited Dining Options** – The food selection was disappointingly narrow, predominantly featuring Indian cuisine with minimal variety or quality. 4. **Pool Maintenance Issues** – The pool area was poorly maintained, with debris (dry grass) scattered on the floor. 5. **Inadequate Pool Amenities** – Insufficient showers and a lack of provided towels inconvenienced guests. ### **Conclusion:** While the resort has charming natural elements and a hospitable team, significant improvements in maintenance, dining, and facilities are needed to elevate the overall experience.
