We had some very good days in 2011 in this Hotel. We loved the Ambiente and the very friendly staff beginning from the Rezeptionist until the waitress in the breakfast room. Kind regards from Wien (Vienna)

My husband and I had a creepy experience at this hotel. The receptionist came into our room with the hotel master key. He knew we were in there yet still proceeded to come in without knocking. I was standing completely naked as I was getting dressed for an event. He gave me a creepy smile. He soon went downstairs and as we were leaving continued to smile at us. We confronted him maturely and wanted an apology though he was hesitant to give it to us. We told the manager and straight away the manager tried to give us an excuse but thankfully there was a lady there who said that they should apologise. We were disgusted by the service. Its not safe for women. If you have a wife or a daughter, I don't recommend staying here

I stayed at Hotel Mediterraneo during my time in Reggio Calabria and had posted a 1 star review. I was really sad to learn that the manager's or admin's reply was a false narrative which they have made up and has put the blame on us. I would usually let this go, but I want to use my voice and warn people about this instance so seeing their reply was proof that there is no empathy towards their customers even when they are in the wrong. To clarify in regards to their reply; My husband was laying on the bed on his phone, I was ironing my dress, fully naked (because I was ironing what I was supposed to wear). I had not requested any iron because I was ALREADY ironing my clothes. At no point did the receptionist knock or did my husband open any door. He would NOT do that if either one of us were not dressed. The receptionist had opened the door, saw me naked, my husband JUMPED out of bed and was furious that the receptionist did NOT knock and claimed he was 'testing' the keys. He knew we were upstairs because we had gone back to rest then get ready for our event 30 mins before the incident. From there, the receptionist showed no remorse, but instead had another lady receptionist apologise on his behalf. In their reply on the google reviews they claimed that we asked for a discount. That is false. At no point did we ask for a discount. A discount was the least of our worries. We just wanted basic human decency - an apology from the receptionist. Let their reply be a warning to everyone.
