A really lovely hotel - I was surprised! Really nice rooms, much bigger than standard. The breakfast buffet was really great. The main dinner was fantastic! The steak, amazing. Highly recommended 👍🏼 Even though the location isn't in the centre, the bus 146 stops right outside the hotel and goes into town. Super easy.
We stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights on a business trip. My room was automatically upgraded due to them being fully booked. This included more space with table and chairs area. However, the bed was two singles pushed together - unable to sleep across both due to the gap, I had to sleep on the single, which was rather uncomfortable as the mattress kept doming. I would have preferred the original room (which my colleague had) as it had a king size bed. The room came with tea/coffee, slippers, dressing gown, hair dryer and iron/iron board. The breakfast (which I was told I was not allowed to take photos of), was buffet style. They had a selection of meats, sweets, breads, pastries and hot breakfast. The hot breakfast was cold and some of the pastries (marble cake and waffle) tasted stale and dry. However, some of the breakfast (the fruit, yogurts, pancakes and donuts) were very nice. The breakfast teabags were incredibly weak and bad quality. Nice meetings rooms with plenty of water and small snacks. Felt very looked after. My advice is to put on the air con in hot weather. Overall, this stay was okay for a business trip.
Summary: Unfriendly front desk and no flexibility for early arrivals. Not ideal for international travelers arriving in the morning. I arrived at 8:00 AM after a long flight from San Francisco to Madrid and had informed the hotel in advance about my early check-in request. Despite confirming they received my email, the reception staff showed zero flexibility or willingness to help. They kept saying “your room isn’t ready” without offering any alternatives. At noon—after seeing many guests check out—I insisted again. One receptionist begrudgingly handed me the key with visible irritation. I later found out from housekeeping that my room had actually been cleaned around 11:00 AM. While most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the reception team was among the least welcoming I’ve ever encountered. Unless you’re planning to book an extra night, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for early-arriving travelers.
