I just got back from a week at Memories and it was one of my best vacations ever. The resort ticked all the boxes, price quality ratio it deserves five stars. Food in Cuba, you get what you pay for. Considering the week was $1200 all inclusive with single supplement, the food was fresh, healthy and tasty. I loved the beach. A guided tour of UNESCO World Heritage Site Trinidad and area and a guided hike in the mountains to a pool at the bottom of a huge waterfall where we swam took the trip to the next level.
My first time in Cuba and this resort was absolutely amazing. The rooms were clean and the balcony views were stunning right onto the beach. The beach itself was so beautiful and clean and the pool/lobby area is very nice and lively. We loved the excursions nearby too, so much fun and reasonably priced. The buffet food was good (we brought sauce packets and salt/pepper) and the Cuban restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and great Valentine’s Day menu. The snack bar staff were always so friendly. Overall, a great trip and I would definitely recommend coming here and booking premium class like we did!
The hotel quality is not the best, but the price is really really reasonable. We were a couple, we stayed in a double room, for 2 nights, and we only payed 44 000 CUP (around 115 USD) in total, with all included. The food (for me the most important) was not good at all. That’s what I consider to be the biggest problem. The buffet variety was almost zero. Available meats were: chicken, beef, pork, and fish (not fresh fish though). No seafood at all. Other animal products (eggs, cheese, bacon…) were very very limited, and some days they didn’t have any. Breakfast was also very poor. No cereals options, no pancakes or waffles available. No yogurt… only bread (sometimes), butter (sometimes, not always), and bad quality sausages. The quality of the service was good though. Some staff were a little rude, but most of them were friendly and they treated us properly.
