Meranerhof

We spent 5 days at the hotel prior and after the New Year's eve as a family of 5. Service, food, location is excellent. The lovely owners of the hotel would be chatting with the guests and welcoming them to dinner every night. The hotel is strategically right downtown Merano, in front of the Merano Therme and with a stone throw away to all public bus stops. Our stay included a public transport ticket on all the busses that could take you to the nearby local attractions. The hotel has a spacious pool and a spa area with 3 types of saunas, plenty of space even in the busy holiday times. By chatting with the hotel guests one can see that it has a wide circle of always returning clientele who come to stay there regularly year after year. Majority was elderly couples with a 1-2 exceptions of families with kids. Even being in the middle of the city the sound insulation is great, very quiet calm atmosphere inside. I would highly recommend a staying at the hotel Meranerhof as it has comfortable rooms and great food. It’s been beautifully restored, is centrally located over looking the river Meran and next door to the thermal spa. By the way, staying at the hotel gives you 10% of tickets to the spa. Just ask at reception and they will sort everything out for you. Thank you to all the staff and the owners for your friendly and helpful welcome

A great experience in this friendly, family run hotel. Comfortable rooms & good food. A lovely garden with plenty of shade as well as the sun. Only slight drawback is the noise from the main road running down one side of the hotel. However this is only noticeable while sitting outside. Would highly recommend a stay here as very central & right by the river
