Mercure Alger Palais Des Congres

I had the pleasure of staying at the Mercure Alger Palais des Congrès - MERCURE AFRICANA - with my family, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the very first moment, we were greeted with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a remarkable sense of hospitality. Throughout our stay, the atmosphere remained consistently welcoming and refined, striking a perfect balance between comfort and elegance. I would like to extend special thanks to Hajer, Mohammed, and Ilyass, whose attentiveness, kindness, and outstanding service truly embody the finest spirit of Algerian hospitality. Their thoughtful gestures and sincere care elevated our entire experience. Every detail reflected a commitment to excellence, making our time at the hotel both memorable and deeply enjoyable. I leave with beautiful memories and will return without the slightest hesitation.

I have stayed at this hotel twice, the first time was an overnight stay in their standard double room, and the second time was for 4 nights in their junior suite. Not much to say about the double room, it was what you'd expect. Clean and classy. The junior suite was on the 4th floor with a nice view of the city. It had a seperate sitting area with a desk and ethernet connection closeby if you wanted to do work (which i did). Like the double, it was classy and fairly clean. Overall it was a good experience with a few minor issues such as the car park access being narrow. However, the staff are very attentitive and accommodating, willing to hear and potentially implement customer suggestions. 4/5 stars

A quality hotel with extremely poor service. We booked five nights in a suite, but upon arrival, we were told we could only stay for four nights and would have to switch rooms for the fifth night. We later realized that a major event was taking place and the hotel had chosen to give our suite to someone else. As for the service in general, it was disappointing. I had to carry my own luggage to the suite because there was no porter. The suite was supposed to be the hotel’s best, yet the bathroom door was broken. The staff rarely answers calls from the room phone — you have to go down to the lobby for any request. While the staff members are friendly, they are not attentive at all. They quickly forget what you ask, and you often need to follow up multiple times. Sometimes towels were even missing. In summary, the hotel might be acceptable for a casual vacation, but if you're coming for work, I recommend finding somewhere else.
