Mercure Amsterdam City

Beautiful hotel, the room was very spacious and spotless clean. Lovely big reception area where you could relax before going to your room or going into the city. Breakfast had something for every taste, everything was fresh and tasty. Amazing views for the rooms at higher floors and really close to metro stations to go to the centre of Amsterdam, just a 10 minute walk. Really exceeded our expectation!

We arrived as a group of seven, each with different rooms, arrival times, and stay dates – a check-in situation that could easily have been complicated and stressful. Ferenc managed it all with remarkable composure, skill, and efficiency, making the process feel effortless for us. What stood out most was his warm and genuine friendliness, paired with absolute professionalism. He made us feel welcome right from the first moment, provided plenty of useful information about the hotel, and even handed us a city map without us asking – a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for our stay. We also found our rooms very comfortable and are thoroughly enjoying our time here.

Visit for a workshop. Reception quality is dependent on person not system! I stayed in sweet (a king bed and setting rooms). Although decorated well but, small and outdated. Housekeeping should be better. Breakfast is English style. It’s nice and adequate. Restaurant staff are extremely nice and guide us through Halal food. Location is far from center. Nearest metro at 10-15 min walk. However, we are at view of water tunnel and large green area. I don’t think I will repeat the residence again.
