Mercure Bayonne Centre Le Grand Hotel

Great location but just one small elevator. The elevator is retro but fast. Many places to shop and eat just minutes away. I did struggle to find the light switches. My friends were in an adjoining room where the door to their room entered through the bathroom of all places.

Chloe helped us more than any other staff member in any other hotel in the world. She made it her mission to find parking for us, and at a good price. She gave us a list of her favorite local restaurants and businesses, a list we found incredibly usely, especially with the short time we hadmto enjoy Bayonne. She even took it upon herself to help us determine if the weather was going to allow us to drive through the Pyrenees! The most incredible thing about her is that you can tell she does this for everyone. A true hospitality star, I hope the hotel recognizes it! As for the hotel, it is well located has a beautiful breakfast, the elevator is special, the rooms are well kept. We would most definitely return!

We stayed at this hotel for one night, prior to starting a tour. The hotel is located centrally, so it was very easy to walk to all of the tourist attractions, shops, and restaurants. The staff on reception were extremely helpful, welcoming, and friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
