Mercure Beaune Centre

We were one of the few guests staying for multiple nights, as most people seem to use the hotel as a stopover on their way south. Unfortunately, our room didn't have a coffee machine or a fridge, even though we thought we saw those amenities in some of the photos on Booking.com. Room cleaning could definitely be improved — perhaps they only do a thorough job after guests check out, which most do after just one night. We did enjoy a dinner at the hotel restaurant, where the staff were very friendly. One of the meals was much to our liking, while the other was a bit lacking in flavor. On the positive side, there’s plenty of parking and the location is great: very close to the city center, with everything within walking distance.

Upon arrival it was announced that we could not enter the room until 16:00. It was very busy in terms of occupation. We could wait by the pool and get a free drink. (That's standard if you're an accor goldmember) After a short time, the receptionist came up with a card from the room. It was ready more quickly. Rooms are a bit outdated but clean.

Sadly, the weather conditions were not good to use the pool. However, the facilities were very good. And only a 10-minute walk into the historic town
